Cozy up your country kitchen with fall Decor

When I think of Fall, I think of cozy, homey feelings– like warm spices, comfort food, and soft lighting.  Since my family spends a great deal of time in our kitchen, adding seasonal touches there enhances this sense of warmth and coziness.  Decorating is a way to welcome change.  As the days get shorter and cooler, refreshing my kitchen with Fall colors makes it feel more in sync with the outside world.

Fall is also baking season.  My family loves apple pies, pumpkin bread, and soups simmering in crock pots.   We spend a lot of time in the kitchen, and decorating it makes those activities feel more festive.  Swapping in a Fall dish towel, a pumpkin centerpiece, or a cinnamon-scented candle doesn’t take much effort, but it can lift spirits and create a new sense of celebration.

Do you have any special things you add to your kitchen decor during the fall?  If so, we would love to hear about them.  Check out our selection of items to bring Autumn Charm to your country kitchen.
